Medicare Supplement Insurance Plan N

Medicare Supplement Insurance Plan N allows you to cover Medicare-approved health care expenses under Basic Benefits, which include hospital co-insurance, blood deductible coverage, Part B co-insurance for a maximum of twenty percent of your outpatient bills, as well as an additional year or 366 days of hospitalization coverage. Skilled Nursing services, medical expenses incurred during your travel abroad, and in-home recovery are also taken care of.

What Medicare Supplement Plan N (or Medigap Insurance Plan N) doesn’t cover are your deductible and Part B excess charges, neither does it pay for health care expenses associated with preventative care benefits.

With its gaps and provisions, Insurance Plan N is similar to Medicare Supplement Insurance Plans D and M, although the former doesn’t cover expenses for medical attention while traveling out of the country**.

Insurance plan N also comes with a $20 co-payment for your visits to the doctor, as well as a $50 co-payment for trips to the emergency room, all of which take effect after you pay the $155 deductible.
